a) Contest duration
Contest launched for general public: 22 September, 2008.
The contest starts on September 29, 2008 and ends October 18, 2008.
Entry deadline: at noon on October 18, 2008. The prize draw will be held at La Salle College, 2000 St. Catherine Street W. in Montréal, around 10 a.m. on Friday, October 24.
b) Detailed contest description
As part of the Montréal Education Fair and the Training Career Fair Of Montréal, which will be held from October 15 to 18, 2008 at Place Bonaventure, La Salle College – in collaboration with INEO Inc. – will be awarding a bursary worth $10,000 to cover registration and admission fees for a complete study program at LaSalle College.
From September 22 to October 18, 2008, the contest will be promoted through advertising video-capsules shown weekdays from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on the MÉTROVISION TV-stream network in the Montréal metro. These videos will invite people to enter the contest by one of the following methods: completing the coupon in the 12 October, 2008 edition of the Journal de Montréal, completing the entry form at the La Salle College booth or the welcome table at the entrance to the fair, or filling out a form online at either www.saloneducation.com or www.collegelasalle.com. The contest runs from September 29, 2008 to noon on October 18, 2008.
You don't need to go to the fair to win a bursary.
Only Canadian residents may enter. No purchase required. Multiple entries per person are permitted.
c) Detailed prize description
The prize to be won is one (1) bursary worth $10,000, covering all the administrative fees related to registering and following a complete study program (six semesters) in one of the programs offered by La Salle College, but excluding schoolbooks and supplies. The prize (the bursary) is transferable but has no monetary worth, nor can it be sold.

2) DRAW
To win the bursary, participants must enter the contest by answering a mathematical skill testing question and: completing the coupon in the 12 October, 2008 edition of the Journal de Montréal, completing the entry form at the La Salle College booth or the welcome table at the entrance to the fair, or filling out a form online at www.saloneducation.com or www.collegelasalle.com.
- A draw to determine the winner from among the collected entry forms shall be made at LaSalle College, 2000 St. Catherine Street West on Friday, October 24, at around 10 a.m.
The winner shall receive a letter of confirmation from LaSalle College management, stating how the prize can be picked up.
The name of the $10,000 bursary winner will be broadcast starting November 7, 2008, on the LaSalle College Internet site (www.collegelasalle.com) and the education fair Internet site (www.saloneducation.com).
3) ELIGIBILITY
To have the right to use the bursary, the winner must be a Canadian resident and must fulfil all the criteria of the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec as they apply to courses offered by LaSalle College.
Employees, agents and representatives of LaSalle College, INEO, Métromédia plus, Métrovision, the Journal de Montréal; their affiliated companies, and any people with whom any of the above are living; LaSalle College students and students with any La Salle College Group subsidiary are all ineligible for this contest.
4) CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING THE $10,000 BURSARY
The winner shall receive a confirmation letter from LaSalle College management informing them of how they can pick up the prize, which must be picked up by Friday, December 5, 2008 at the latest, and used before August 31, 2009.
The maximum value of the prize is $10,000, which is equal to school and other fees for a Canadian resident studying at LaSalle College, and includes various administrative fees, but excludes schoolbooks and supplies.
The prize (the bursary) is transferable but has no monetary value, nor can it be sold.
By participating in this contest, the winner authorises the organisers, donors and their representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, image, city of residence, declaration about the prize and/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form of remuneration, compensation or indemnity. By the same token, the parents, legal guardians or custodians of the winner hereby authorise the organisors, donors and their representatives to use their name, photograph, image, city of residence, declaration about the prize and/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form of remuneration, compensation or indemnity.
Any objections concerning the organisation or running of this advertising contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux uniquely in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
Any refusal to accept the prize (bursary) indemnifies La Salle College INEO from any obligation or responsibility for the prize, including the delivery thereof.
5) GENERAL
In the event that, for any legally valid reason, including bankruptcy of the supplier, the prize cannot be delivered exactly as described, the prizewinner agrees to accept, in lieu, a prize of an equivalent value or the equivalent monetary value, at the discretion of LaSalle College. In this event, the prizewinner renounces the right to any recourse or pursuit against LaSalle College, INEO or the supplier.
The contest is subject to the following official rule: LaSalle College and INEO assume no responsibility for loss, lateness, address errors, printing errors, technical malfunctions, telephone-line overloading, fraudulent calls, programming or other errors.
Throughout the entire contest period, LaSalle College and INEO can never in any way be held responsible for a bursary of greater value than $10,000.
LaSalle College, INEO, the supplier and persons for whose benefit this contest is held, assume no responsibility of any nature whatsoever in any case where their incapacity to act is caused by an event or situation out of their control, or a strike, lockout or any other work conflict in their establishment or in the establishments of organisations or companies whose services are used for this contest.
The winner is solely responsible for any event of any nature that may occur after taking possession of the prize, and renounces the right to any recourse or pursuit against LaSalle College or INEO, neither of which assume any responsibility after delivering the prize to the winner.
