Program Outline
The International Management School aims to meet the growing needs of the business world in this era of global markets. The programs offered by the International Management School are for anyone who is interested in management and dreams of a dynamic national or international career.
Banks offer a vast range of financial services to businesses and individuals. The banking sector plays an important role in the lives of its clients, owners and employees, as well as society in general. Banks are first-rate employers committed to the equity, integration and continuing education of a qualified workforce centred on knowledge. Banks strengthen the community as the largest taxpayers and charitable donors in Canada. Banks also play an essential role in the financial future of their owners - that is, nearly every Canadian citizen, either as shareholders (direct ownership) or holders of retirement plans and mutual funds (indirect ownership).
The financial services market is in the midst of a period of growth and change. Competition is more intense than ever. Changes made to the rules governing bank ownership in 2001 allowed a greater number of players to enter this market. The arrival of new providers of financial services has resulted in a wider range of choices for consumers.
In partnership with the Institute of Canadian Bankers, LaSalle College wishes to offer this program in order to contribute to the training of qualified individuals who can meet the new challenges of the banking industry.
With certification in Financial Services, you will have the skills needed for the following activities:
|
acquiring the specialized skills in the ever-changing financial services sector |
|
obtaining certification in the Principles of Management, awarded by the IBC, as well as the designation of AICB (Associate, Institute of Canadian Bankers). |
