The Insurance and Financial Advisory Services program is flexible and generalized enough that it provides training for a diverse range of professional activities in the discipline. The Insurance and Financial Advisory Services program was developed in keeping with the professions’ regulations and conditions, providing instruction in claims adjustment and underwriting, and the following three distinct areas:
Personal insurance;
Personal financial planning and protection;
Group and business insurance.

Students who have completed the Business Management or Accounting and Management Technologies program may have thus earned prerequisites for the Financial Services and Insurance Advisor program, if they decide to enrol in the latter.

To be accepted into a program leading to a DCS (Diploma of Collegial Studies), candidates must satisfy the College Education Regulations criteria.


Prerequisite: Mathematics 436
. The College reserves the right to replace certain courses.

Graduates of this course receive a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS).
With a Insurance and Financial Advisory Services Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS), one can enter university.

Due to agreements between LaSalle College and various universities, equivalencies for this DCS may be granted by the university.
